Looking at taking an all-inclusive getaway with the wife for our anniversary in early December. We've been to 3 different resorts in the Cancun area over the past 2 years and really enjoyed ourselves. Now that there's more negative press about the "tainted alcohol" horror stories and cartel implications we've decided to look at Punta Cana, DR as well.
Does anyone have any insight on nice, all-inclusive places in DR? The brief search I did with Irma's wrath didn't seem too destructive.
We're quite content staying on the resort and lounging pool or beachside. Food options are important, but doesn't have to be 5 star resorts.
I'm also curious if anyone is going to Mexico in the next couple months, because we're looking at options there despite the bad press.
