OT: Billy Idol

So I listen to a lot of classic rock and I've got to say, I've reached my breaking point with Billy Idol. The guy gets a ton of play.....but why? He's freaking terrible! Everything of his that I hear just sucks; what am I missing?

He was hot at the RIGHT time. The MTV Explosion.

He also had a great producer - Keith Forsey.

throw in his early punk days with Generation X and hes earned his place...

I actually won tickets to see Billy Idol back in the early 90's. He put on a really good show.

Of course Faith No More opening was the highlight for me.

It's about the show and Billy rocks it

Not the best singer but he has the energy. You have to see it live to really appreciate it.

Just Rebel Yell alone is iconic for that era. And he has several more hits.
