So being the 16 year anniversary of 9/11, I've naturally been watching a lot of youtube videos of the news coverage from that day. I was in 4th grade when the attack happened and I didn't find out about it until I got home from school. But I tried to watch the news coverage videos as if it were happening live today, trying to figure out what my gut reaction would have been after that first plane hit the North Tower. I can't decide if I would have immediately suspected terror attack or if I would have thought it was just a tragic accident? Obviously after the second one hits there's no longer any question, it was clearly a terrorist attack but that time in between the two events is what I'm curious about.
So fellow Fort Members, what was your gut feeling on the whole situation from 8:45am - 9:03am on September 11, 2001.
Thanks in advance for responses
Note: I know there are a million threads out there talking about "where were you when you first heard about it?" I'm not asking that. I'm wondering what was your thought process on the event between when the first plane hit, up until the second one hit.
This was just something I randomly became curious about and I don't know a better place to go than The Fort to get middle aged mens experiences.
