The season really starts with the Masters 1000 event at Monte Carlo, which is about to wrap up. Djoker, the #1 seed, got knocked out earlier this week in the Round of 16 by Danil Medvedev. Then Nadal, the #2 seed, got beaten in straight sets today by Fabio Fognini (gotta wonder if Rafa is hurt). Nadal has won this tournament double-digit number of times, so that’s one of the biggest upsets of the year already. Looking forward to Fed’s return to clay in a couple weeks!
