I haven't watched it all the way through but a buddy at work let it slip about where it's headed.
we've got about 3 episodes left. My early take is that it's nowhere near as fun as seasons 2 and 3. Frank and Claire are now so irretrievably and thoroughly corrupt that it's no longer a guilty pleasure to root for them in any way. Similarly, everyone in their orbit seems divided between the "marginally-corrupt/trying to save their souls and therefore are the chumps at the table" and the "completely, undeniably, and totally venal but not quite as smart or venal as Frank & Claire and therefore their undoing will sustain an entire arc or perhaps straddle a season." Actually, that's not accurate. There's a third category -- "I don't know what your deal is and I don't give a crap because you're so weird."
Tom the "speechwriter" and Frank's "personal trainer" would fall into that category.
I'll watch it through the end of this season but if Mrs. Varnsen wants to pass on season 6 I won't argue.
