Today was a great day for Americans at Wimbledon.
On the men’s side, Americans went 5-2. Querrey had a huge upset over 5th-seeded Dominic Thiem. Taylor Fritz knocked out Tomas Berdych. Isner, Steve Johnson and Tennys Sandgren all moved on. Only Frances Tiafoe and Noah Rubin were eliminated.
The women are 5-1 so far, with only Alison Riske still in play. Serena advanced, along with Sloane Stephens, Amanda Anisimova, Lauren Davis and Taylor Townsend. Only 108th ranked Christina McHale was eliminated.
