I'm officially throwing in the towel on the Wings 2017-18 season. They currently have the 4th lowest point total in the NHL:
Detroit - 33 pts
Ottawa - 30 pts
Buffalo - 26 pts
Arizona - 23 pts
No chance Arizona is going to catch them in pts. Hopefully, Ottawa & Buffalo can catch them.
Looks like this is a great draft for the Wings to get a top overall pick.
Rasmus Dahlin, D, Sweden, looks like the consensus #1 pick. This is exactly what the Wings need. A young stud defenseman who can play in the NHL from day 1. There are other good players at the top of this draft, but sign me up for a franchise Swedish Defenseman. That formula has worked for the Wings before.
