Even before the season started, we all knew that there were a few games that we'd need to focus on:
tOSU, PSU, and Wiscy were always going to be potentially difficult games
MSU is a rivalry game - even in a down year, it's the focus of attention.
Florida is an SEC branded team
Pre season, What opponent was your next concern? Who is it now?
Coming in, I though that Maryland under Durkin was going to be much better this year and their win over Texas seemed to verify that concern, but they lost their top two QBs, so now it seems that that may be a problem for next year.
OTOH, Minnesota has quietly shut down all of their opponents to rank #1 nationally in scoring defense. Okay Buffalo, Middle Tenn St, and Oregon St. Isn't exactly a murderers row, but it's not like the UM offense is routinely shredding defenses, either. That defense is doing something right and has gotten my attention, for sure.
I think Minny may be the tough test that isn't getting enough respect around here.
