I’ve always felt that the ability to close out games is clearly a mark of a good team and that’s what killed RR and Hoke.

Michigan might not quite be there yet, but getting close. Got the ball with about 3 min and needed two first downs to burn NW timeouts and kneel. Got one and was a half a yard from the second. Ran it every time with NW knowing there was no chance we were going to throw. That’s good. It’s improvement.

Also, all the hand wringing about slinging Higdon into the line on first is missing something. First down runs were working well until the last two drives. In those, we did run him up the middle every first down almost. Guess what happened? TD on the second to last and ran the clock down to 40 second and came up half a yard from kneeling for the win.
