For most of the second half of the season, Michigan's offense would stall whenever the plan was to force the ball down to the post. The majority of those times it evolved trying to force it down to Hunter.
When it is done within the flow of the offense it worked and he would either get a great high percentage shot or passed it to a open shooter when doubled. However, as the season went on and teams learned how to defend Hunter (and the post) better, it became clear that Coach was trying to force it down to him on too many plays and the offense just would stall out.
I will leave it up to the "x's and o's" guys to give their opinions on how to adjust this problem heading into next season, but it was part of the problem again last night. It was not the reason Michigan lost, but it contribute to it IMO.
I kind of compare this to last year with Coach's refusal to double the post on defense during the stretch when the Big Ten bigs were killing Michigan.
