Yes, minimal penalties and turnovers, smart quarterback play and sure-handed receivers. It's all good and essential. But I don't think that you can discount CRAZY.

When the competition lines up across from Chris Wormley or Ben Braden and see the smoldering fire of Schembaugh grow in intensity during the snap count, and experience the anger with which they are attacked by said athletes and their brothers, they will at some point, wet their pants.

As an elite athlete it is so easy to give 90% and look like you're playing hard. Running around, catching a few balls, running for a few yards, making a few tackles. The crazy ones (who love Jim Harbaugh, Michigan, and Tackle Football), will run through a brick wall to get to Cardell Jones and plant him.

And when they are 55 years old and return to the Big House to spend time with their brothers they will relive the simple crazed plays that brought a gasp from Chris Spielman and an "Oh F*&@" from Urban Meyer and they will be content the rest of their days.
