Odd how Tiger played so well last week, yet seemed to struggle hitting fairways in his session. Others missed also and if this was stroke play it may not have mattered as much. That will be critical though to his game going forward here and next year. Having a lead and then giving it back over the last few holes of the first round may have ignited the Euro's just a bit. BTW ... For those GOAT folks consider Ryder Cup performance.

Seems one doesn't play as well with others...
as for the US team, well, hopefully they'll focus on playing golf the rest of the way and not patting themselves on the back too much because they won the first 3 matches. Granted getting smoked in the 4 afternoon matches might lend to some soul searching and tomorrow is another day... thank goodness.
