App State was a really good team that had won national titles in the lower division 1 and had put a scare into other power 5 teams in the past. ODU is a bad team for a school that just restarted it's football program in 2009. They were 0-3 with a 52-10 loss to Liberty. They were playing their backup QB against VaTech. That had 632 yards of total offense and won by 14 points. Bigger upset than App State beating us.
