reminded me of his coach. If anyone remembers Jim as a player, O'Korn yesterday showed some flashes (even the little shovel pass under duress that fell incomplete). O'Korn dropped some balls in with great touch. I want to go back and look at the game, but Jim mentioned that O'Korn saw the field well yesterday. I'm curious as to how many times he worked through a progression to find someone other than his primary receiver. If anyone remembers with Ruddock, he was given progressions for half the field early in the year, and by the end of the year, he had the entire field worth of progressions. My biggest concern with O'Korn is working through progressions. If he can work through those and get comfortable, Michigan might have the story of the year in the Big Ten, but that's a major if, and we have a long way to go. We have to clean up our play at the point of attack. I was pleased with Evans, and he shows you flashes of why he was the starter coming into the season. He's a home run threat. All in all, the team took a step forward. The defense gives them a chance to win every game. If the offense can find an identity (it may have started yesterday), things may be starting to come together. The spread look puts O'Korn in a nice comfort zone, and it looks to me that it also puts Pep in that same zone. This is pure speculation, but something tells me that Hamilton is more comfortable with O'Korn running his version of the Michigan offense than Speight. We'll see how this unfolds.
