venting abut play calling and slow starts and passing schemes. Here are some big positives that I like:
1. Shea - I really like this kid. He's tough. He competes. He doesn't get rattled. He has leadership. He slides in the pocket really well and can take off and gash a defense when needed. And best of all this kid can sling it. He's not perfect but when he needs to thread needle, wow, has he made some great throws. We haven't had a QB like him in a long time. Since Henne? Maybe better than henne? I don't think we have had QB that can scramble and throw accurately like him since Henson. He could be the difference as the schedule gets tougher.
2. The Defense. They've had some lapses but man, Coach Brown has set the bar so high for himself and his squad its almost impossible to meet expectations. They're very good and I think they'll get better. Guys ike Uche, Dwumfor, and Paye have really shown they are ballplayers. More than good enough to get to Indy.
3. Wide receivers and TEs - these young guns are starting to mature. Eubanks, Gentry, DPJ, Nico etc. These kids can make plays and they have the guy that can get them the ball. The coaches have to figure out ways to get them in position to make those plays and not make it so hard.
4. Ben Mason - The kid is not only strong as a bull, but he's an athlete. Good speed and he loves to hit. I love watching him run with the ball and smashing linebackers off their feet without the ball.
I've vented as much as anyone but we have a lot of football to play yet.
