We often hear comments in different ways whether an offer is “committable” or not. I often wonder how coaches walk this tightrope with recruits. Obviously the Blue Chippers don’t have to worry about this, but for the others:
1. Do coaches tell the recruits “we’re offering you - but can’t take your commitment right at this moment”?
2. Are some schools known for throwing out an over abundance of non-committable offers?

I mean you look at these prospects “offers list” and see someone may have 30+ “offers”, are they technically ALL committable? Because IMO a non-committable offer isn’t really an OFFER. Do most kids realize that or don’t really care? They’re just happy to list “Alabama offered me”?

I don’t know, I know I’m all over the map here. I’m just curious about the intricacies of how recruiting REALLY works. Please share any insider stories you may have and are able to talk about! Thanks as always.
