Until the offensive line is dominant, michigan won't be a great team. They can win the big ten but isn't in the league with Alabama, Clem, FSU when it comes to winning in the trenches. Michigan needs a home run playmaker in the backfield to offset the inconsistencies up front.

FSU's OL was pretty bad all season too. They let our QB get killed. When Cook breaks off those huge runs, they are more often than not due to Cook's skills, not OL blocking. OL has been our Achilles heel for years, even though we recruit well at the position.

The mighty Drevno is O for 2 in producing a quality OL. Does he get the trifecta next year?

Seems like FSU has always had great d-line and solid o-line...of course, you've had great speed at LB/Sec positions that always help. FSU has always had huge game-breakers at WR and very solid RB/QB's. Cook was a monster last night w/ his big plays....kept him in check and then, BAM! Same w/ your QB, IIRC, 9 for 27 for 222 yards... We needed Smith's blocking skill at RB, to help out vs. FSU's D-line but his lack of speed and wiggle kills us. Once our passing game hit some plays, we ran a bit better and got some scores but we were in the Red Zone 3 times and only got 9 points...recovered the first punt inside the 2 yd line and only come away with 3. FSU had to be elated, busted our balloon a bit. FSU's speed on defense was going to give us fits. Crazy stat with M having 8 min on TOP, were out-gained by 120 yards, 1 huge FSU return of 66 yards (we had 2 totaling 40 yards)...lose by 1 point. Cook has 2 runs that equaled 100 yards and a 45 yard reception, Murray a 92 yd passing TD and a 66 yd return by Gavin, big plays won this game obviously.
