will no longer be with the UM program next year. It sure seems like this staff will ask anyone who isn't going to contribute to leave.

See Pipkins. If you are injured or in the dog house or not part of the two deep to find opportunities elsewhere.

I will set the # at 6.

The RB stable will be greatly emptied (Green, maybe Isaac, gone), the WR stable may be cleaned out too, one maybe more QB gone, plus some fodder at other positions.

I tend to agree. I think if you don't EARN your schollie with this staff they just ask you to consider going elsewhere. They don't play any games. I think at least two of the rb's go and 1-2 on the wr end...like a Jones.

I don't mean to be insensitive to these guys who work hard but it's a business and UM needs to rotate some guys to get talent in here sooner rather than later so in 2017...it's showtime.

We also agree that 1-2 qb's are going elsewhere. Going to get rid of the dead wood...sorry to be harsh.

Why on earth would we not want Chesson and Darboh to return. They both had great years and will be that much stronger and experienced next year. We have no receivers ready to step in. We would be taking an enormous step back without one or both of them on the roster next year. That would be a huge mistake. Especially with no running game.

Green and Isaac have to be gone.

Someone here was bitching about JH including 4th years with a year of eligibility left in today's Senior Day recognition. I think after this game we understand the wisdom of that...

I hate this format, I was not referring to Darboh or Chesson, they were fantastic this year and got better each game! I was referring to Ways, Jones, Dukes, etc.

Not sure if Kalis is on track to graduate but I would not be shocked if he does not get asked to come back. As for players I expect will likely not be around:
  • Shane Morris (gone for sure and he has 2 years left of eligibility)
  • Channing Stribling
  • De'Mario Jones
  • Alex Malzone
  • Drake Harris
  • Brian Cole
  • Jaron Dukes
I don't expect Green or Ty to transfer. Green only has 1 year left so it would not surprise me if instead asked to be redshirted next year so he could get a Michigan degree and then go play as a 5th year Sr right away some place else. Also Ty has already spent 3 years in college and if he were to transfer again he would lose another year so I would be shocked if he left without getting a degree. My 2 cents.

I'm not sure what you're basing half your list on. Stribling contributed a lot and Malzone and Cole were redshirted, true freshmen.

Basing the Stribling on my hunch - played but not that well and has not materialized. Cole has been in the dog house from all the rumblings including coaches being unhappy with him. Malzone is a 4-star Top 10 QB from last year, not sure why he stays versus us pushing him out. You have O'Korn, Speight, Gentry, and a couple other QBs coming next year as well as the intention that we are going after McCaffery who is the top QB in 2017 - basically writing is on the wall for Malzone that he will likely be way low on the depth chart.

As for Drake Harris - the dude can not stay healthy, I expect the coaches ask him to take a medical sholarship.
