Fitz is a classy coach and coaches a clean game and a great group of kids. I really hope NW wins out the rest of the way. They lost to a very good Michigan team that is unstoppable right now...even BYU should not be embarassed. As for MSU, agree with AH - let's stop that talk. We have not accomplished anything quite yet. MSU will be the best offense we will face and trust me they will play their best game of the season. I hope we beat them and I think we will have a chance and we will likely be favored as well.

Understandable. But one thing people have to realize is that when they talk about how high MSU will be for the game, just think how high Michigan is going to be? The fact is, nobody is doing a better job getting their team focused and creating a game plan to exploit the weaknesses of the next opponent than JH. He will have the kids as focused, and prepared, as ever. Nice to see after the embarrassment we had the past 4 years.

Northwestern beat Ball State by FIVE measly points. I didn't understand the fuss about them. Watching the game, I felt as if the announcers were trying to sell the idea that Northwestern was much better than it actually was. I certainly wasn't buying it.

They are a nerd team that beat a couple of other nerd teams. Not saying they're bad, but they aren't as good as Millen and the play-by-play guy made them out to be. Definitely a good win for Michigan today.

They also beat Stanford and Duke so thus the hype surrounding them.

Northwestern did beat a good Stanford team, who rolled USC, Oregon State and Arizona, and held Stanford to 6 points. It was a big stage for the NW redshirt freshmen QB and the UM Dee was up for the task.
Looking forward to the showdown with MSU....should be a really good game. Conner Cook has played in many big games and should provide a real test for our defense.

I think there is just an exuberance around here. It's been a while since we've won a big rivalry game.
