I apologize if this has been covered, but I have been trying to make sense of some of these opt outs.
I’ve read enough about dmac and his electing to transfer, to know I’m not alone in my confusion.
But when it comes to Nico.. At the end of last season, he seemingly was committed to coming back as a leader this year. I understand Covid has a big impact, but it just really seems as though this came out of nowhere.
It was only about 3 months ago that JH crowned Nico with the Number 1 Jersey, and all the tradition and responsibilities that go along with it. I’ve seen a lot of talk about the opt out, but not many details.
I believe I saw someone say that he hasn’t been with the team for awhile, but it’s just a big contrast in a short period of time.
Did I miss some big explanation or does anyone have any details that might help to explain this turnaround?(other than the obvious and he just signed with an agent.)
