I have always wanted an 8 teams playoffs:
- Automatic bid to Conference winner: B10, B12, PAC12, ACC, SEC
- 3 At Large berths - decide by committee
4 quarterfinal games play on mid major bowl game sites
Semifinal games and Championship game - play on major bowl sites (Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta) rotate every year.
