Hi Fort,
Remember this beautiful gal from this awesome first post?
Well, I up and married her (in Ann Arbor) two weeks ago - I'm a very lucky man - and now we're in need of the Fort's help.
We're planning a two week trip to New Zealand this November and are seeking recommendations. Our thinking is to begin with a two-day stop in Sydney, hop over to Queenstown and go from there. Recommendations on South Island / North Island split? Sites to see? Anyone got a suggested itinerary? We'd like to hike a couple days, drinks some wine, maybe do a couple excursions (kayaking, etc.). Pretty active, but some relaxation time would be great too.
It seems like you could easily spend three weeks on either one of the islands.
Your thoughts are very much appreciated.
