I met "Tommy Z" about 10 years ago when he was overseeing some start-up technologies and innovation within the college of engineering. A private equity firm I was working for had some interest in some of their work. He's a fascinating guy. Very personable. Amazingly bright. He really stood out in an ocean of stoic, introverted engineers. And he clearly loves him some Michigan....
