I saw several comments after the game (including a mod) saying that Michigan is "much better at pass protection then run blocking." My reaction was "say what?"

Help me out here. What is the basis for this sentiment? Even tho we had trouble running on first down in second half at NW (into a stacked front BTW, which makes it a play selection issue and not a OL issue), I feel way more comfortable with the run blocking then pass blocking. I realize they aren't very efficient at times and guys block the wrong defender too many times, but I get nervous every single time Shea goes back to pass.

Am I just putting too much on the horrific pass pro in South Bend maybe? I don't think the OL is great by any stretch but I feel like they are improving significantly in all areas, esp in run blocking. I am not convinced we can block drop back passing with any regularity, esp against the good teams. I think Shea has masked this with his escapability and a lot of play calls that roll him out. All IMO of course.
