Given our departures at RB, many are concerned chiefly because of depth. We are all impressed with Charbonnet (rightly so IMO)...but, a forgotten possibility at RB in this class is Joey Velazquez...believe it or not.
If you've seen his HS film, the guy is a monster running downhill...and, IIRC, a comment attributed to Harbaugh (not public as that's against the rules) is that Joey may well get a look at RB...He has great size for a RB and some wiggle too...most often though it's one cut, and GO NORTH..!
This may not come true, as Velazquez is projected to Viper...(or a LB too as he grows)...and I see why from his film...he's a missile at LB...very, very physical...and plenty fast enough. The question on D...as with many...is can he cover..?
Regardless...Toby Gehardt was a great RB for Harbaugh at Stanford and Velazquez reminds me of a faster version of Toby. I really hope he gets a shot on offense.
