This epic began in the middle of January, 2017 with the alleged sexual misconduct of 3 football players and some alleged involvement of a coach. According to Jones Day, the spartan leaders fall all over themselves doing the right thing in a timely fashion. The 3 players and the coach are put on some suspended basis, the police ask the prosecutor to file charges and then a wall of silence descends until a week after NSD. After NSD, MSU finally makes public the fact that all this is going on. Coincidence?
After the MSU announcement in February, Jones Day is hired, the prosecutor asks for more evidence and another wall of silence descends. About a week ago, Blackwell is terminated. Then today, Jones Day issues a report praising the Spartan administration without any input from the 4 involved people (Blackwell and the 3 players). An hour later, the prosecutor announces that charges will be filed against the 3 players but not against Blackwell. Is this timing again a coincidence? It certainly looks like the timing was orchestrated to paint the school and remaining coaches in a good light and then point the cannon at the players. Blackwell has no job, but no criminal charges yet. Is that enough to keep him quiet?
Lot of funny stuff going on here.
