I didn’t watch one second of the MSU/Rutgers game so going to go more so on how we looked than them.
Given the high number of turnovers, I assume they will try to run, run and run some more, with a goal of severely shortening the game. If I were the UM staff, I would be packing the box and forcing Rocky to beat us. The only way they stay in this game is to control the ball.
On our side, I would think more of the same. What we showed was diverse, dynamic, will force MSU to game plan for a number of looks. As long as we remain patient, take what they give, there is no way they can keep this close. If we try to force the ball downfield when it’s not there, then we may struggle.
I do want to see more shots long but in a good safe fashion.
