All I know ......... the abject stupidity of having weekly rankings (as opposed to just having one ranking at the end of the year) is getting exposed more than ever this year. I think they drew straws to rank Iowa, MSU, Oklahoma and Notre Dame.

But hey, it makes good programming for ESPN!

Irony is we still have a very small chance to make the playoffs!!! If the following happens, we are likely in:

• Iowa beats Nebraska
• Penn State beats Michigan State
• Stanford beats Notre Dame
• Michigan beats Ohio State
• Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State

and then the following week...

• Michigan beats Iowa

I think it's irrelevant what Baylor does quite honestly because I highly doubt the playoff committee will put 2 BIG 12 teams in the Top 4 and I also think Michigan beating Iowa will move it above Stanford no matter what Stanford does in the PAC championship game. The odds of Iowa, Stanford and Oklahoma winning this coming weekend are actually pretty good and high. I think the Michigan win over Ohio State is a toss up. Penn State will have to be the team that we will need the most help from as they will have to pull the upset of the season and beat @MSU. I don't see it happening but there is always hope.

If all of that happens ---- and then Michigan goes on to win the National Title ---- no U-M will ever be allowed to talk crap about Penn State again!
