This has been under consideration for the better half of the last week or so.
The way it was laid out to me is that Harbaugh doesn’t want to miss the Texas game in 2024 if talks with the NCAA were to go into next season, he doesn’t want to risk anything so the idea is to take it on the chin now knowing that he has his best team ever that can handle three games without him.
Obviously will do more digging.
