Former Minnesota wide receiver Tyler Johnson (All-Big Ten last year) caught a touchdown pass from Tom Brady earlier in the game. I know Rashod Bateman is going to be tough to stop — and no one has voiced their concern about Michigan's cornerbacks staying with him more than me — but not having his sidekick opposite of him is an underrated storyline on the Gophers' offense. Last season, Johnson set single-season program records for receptions (86), receiving yards (1,318) and receiving touchdowns (13), and had seven 100-yard games, averaged 101.4 receiving yards per game and caught a touchdown in the final seven games of the season.

Antoine Winfield Jr. almost picked off Aaron Rodgers tonight, and he's been a mainstay in the Bucs' back end all season long as just a rookie. He was the best player on the Gophers' defense a year ago, leading the team in tackles with 88 (62 solo), making seven interceptions (school record), returning a punt for a touchdown and forcing two fumbles.

There's talent returning, namely in the aforementioned Bateman and quarterback Tanner Morgan. But as much as we're concerned in Ann Arbor about Michigan having to replace some key pieces, there's got to be concern in Minneapolis about having guys step up and replace two of the best players in school history at their respective positions — very important positions, I might add.

I'm expecting a close game, but this is a very winnable one for Michigan on the road. Can't wait to give our picks later on THIS WEEK.

Happy game week, everybody!
