When Mike made his "little brother" comment I thought it to be hysterical and an appropriate metaphor. Now I look at it differently and think it has contributed to MSU's success against us. Its amazing to me how much the media, and my MSU friends and family still talk about this comment. I watch many MSU games and don't see the intensity and ferocity in their play against other opponents that they show against us. I can well imagine the MSU coaches using this phrase over and over during the week before our game. This year some of players emphasized that MSU is not our biggest rival, which we all agree on, but imagine how their coaches could use this to demonstrate our lack of respect. I see MSU winning 8 out of the last 10 games as a reflection of playing with a controlled anger that we haven't matched. I loved Mike Hart's play, but now I wish he let performance do all his talking.
