Was just looking at starters from last week and "almost starters" and very impressive how we have recruited across the country (and also Germany).
By back of the envelope calculations I have 6 (including VanSumeren) starters from Michigan, 2 from GA, 2 from VA, 2 from TX, 2 from MO, 2 from OH, 2 from CA, 2 from IN, and 1 each from CT, HA, FL, CO, RI, OK, and NJ, and Welschoff from Germany. I know this adds up to more than 22 because I added others with significant playing time.
My point is that we have successfully recruited a pretty large part of the US for our players rather than just the Midwest and I think it is a very positive statement for the work our coaching staff has done.
