Shout out to Maizenblue1817 for giving me the topic. And it is a great one.
What is your all time favorite Michigan comeback. Since it is my 1000th post, I get to share three. Eager to remember great comebacks over the opposite. Also sorry if this has been done recently.
1997 #5 Michigan verse #15 Iowa.
I believe the most crucial comeback in my life. Everyone remembers the great wins against top 5 PSU and OSU. But Iowa had us down by 14 points. Not even sure Michigan had ever overcome more than a 14 point deficit in their history at that time. By coming back we went 6-0 and allowed us the chance to win the national title. There are bigger comebacks from farther down. But because of the National Title Implications this is my favorite.
Honorable Mention
2000 Orange Bowl Michigan 35 Alabama 34
We were down 14 in this one. Everyone thinks Brady came on the scene with the Pats. But this was his greatest game ever. He threw for over 350 yards and 4TD's. I love it because he beat Bama and they were favored and because it si a true Michigan man Brady moment.
2004 victory against MSU was and amazing comeback. the other two are for sure higher on my list. But with our current situation with MSU it is fun to remember how much this loss hurt them They had not won in Michigan stadium since 1990 and we just broke their heart.
Obviously AC against Indiana, but a little before my time, so just enjoy the last catch.
Can't wait to be reminded of other great ones.
