When Jim Harbaugh was hired after Christmas, Michigan's 2015 recruiting class was ranked #91. When it was over last week, Harbaugh and staff had moved it to #48 in the nation. That is a considerable jump in such a short time and actually pretty impressive. The most impressive aspect of his first class was the geographical factors. Instead of just focusing primarily on the Midwest, it was nice to see the additions stretching from New Mexico to Florida. This is evidence of what is coming into Ann Arbor to play under Harbaugh's leadership. Pretty impressive along with the fact that Michigan returns more players than any team in the conference next year. I also believe Michigan wins 10 or more games next year.

I think 10 wins is a possibility too Blue. I have Michigan losing to OSU and Michigan State. I have it a toss up for BYU, MInnesota, and Penn State. You?

If I was a betting man (which I am not) I would guarantee that Michigan does not lose at home to both OSU & MSU. At worst we go 1-1 in those games. The games are at home and JH is way too competitive to swallow those 2 losses. Plus, we don't have youth - we have some upper-classmen. I have us winning 11 games. I think we lose 2 of the following games - @Utah, @Penn State, OSU.

Slight caveat - I am assuming Morris has made massive strides and starts as a QB with a lot of experience. If it's one of the freshmen, then I think we will likely creep our way to about 8 wins.

Tarun, what are the advantages that Michigan has over OSU in next years game? The only advantage that I see is its a home game.

Look at the past 4 years we have played against each...even with superior talent the games have been very close. Michigan always plays OSU hard. Hoke was 1-3 against OSU but could have easily been 3-1. Even last year, if not for that Gardner INT returned for a TD and the one Zeke run the game was close with Michigan leading in the first half. It's not always about advantages in talent, etc. If that were the case Alabama would beat everyone by 30 points in every single game because of the amount of talent they have with USC finishing 2nd every single year.

For as terrible as Hoke was, he coached very well against OSU. Do you really think we have any "advantages" the past 4 years - including 2 years ago when we lost on a 2 point conversion to an undefeated OSU team?

I would argue that MSU has given us a tougher time then OSU - we have not even been close against MSU. I just don't see how we lose both to MSU and OSU. I can easily see us going 1-1 but I can see us going 2-0 as well. But, like I said - it really all depends on who we have at QB...if Morris improves, does well, we will be fine. Otherwise we are in trouble.

As much as I'm thrilled Harbaugh is leading our program I'm not expecting miracles next year. I do agree that we have some pretty good talent coming back but the most important position is QB which is a big question mark for us right now. I'm expecting 8-9 wins in Harbaugh's first season. If one of the QB's really steps up we might get to 10 wins but everything would have to come together very nicely. Most importantly, Harbaugh will have the team playing with intensity every week which was certainly not always the case with Hoke.
