Watching the preseason seeing Owenwu starting, Uche getting sacks, Winovich with the Patriots too. Peppers for NY, Mike Danna, Khalike Hudson, Gary, Bush.....it seems like we have had really good talent and it kinda all comes down to Don Brown screw it up. I loved the guy and his fire. He was my favorite coach. But he gave a crack-able code and wasted the 2016 class. I only mentioned a few guys. Ruiz is starting, DPJ, Nico, Gentry is still on a roster.....it all points to Don Brown. By last year bad teams could beat UM because they knew what was coming.

So all of that talent didn't get UM over the hump. Came within two games of the B10 championship, in 2016 and 2018.

Now Joey Galloway ( I know he's a buckeye and throws mad shade on UM) is saying UM has to recruit more top 300 talent. We have a roster of many 4 star guys, and will roll out probably 16 of 22 starters who are 4 and 5 star guys.

Has anyone done an analysis of the roster to see not just the star numbers but whether those guys were considered top end 3 star guys or low (or high) 4 star guys? I don't have a real feel for the roster in part because it will be full of 3rd year players playing big roles who have not played much at all here at UM.

The talent vs coaching, X's and O's versus the Jimmy's and the Joe's is something I can't get my brain wrapped around with this football team.

So what's the true talent level of this team from a recruiting standpoint?
