9 wins is certainly greater then anyone expected. I am not sure where klenmann keeps getting 7-9. Everyone basically predicted 7-5 or the most optimistic were at 8-4. I am upset that we could not get a win against Sparty but hopefully we can against OSU. I predicted 10-2 so still in the hunt and if Meyer calls the type of game he did last night, we will win but you know OSU will be pissed.

Optimistic in that Harbaugh has basically taught a group of players that don't know how to fight a claw much, how to compete. That was one thing missing in the Hoke era - the minute something went wrong, the entire foundation of the team crumbled. They did not manage unscripted outcomes at all. If we fumbled, the whole team basically would shut down - on all aspects. That's a habit that is hard to break so I can only imagine what things will be like in Year 2! I expect tons of attrition in Year 2 specifically because they just won't cut it in the Harbaugh regime and thank god for that. I think players with a sense of entitlement should not play at Michigan.

I can't wait to see the product Harbaugh puts on the field next year and more specifically in 2017. Assuming O'Korn is the guy next year he will have had 1 full season to learn the JH offense. The RB position is the one that still worries me the most because we don't have a back that is a complete package - one that can break lose, juke players, has awesome vision, and can block. Smith is a great blocker but has zero speed or moves. Isaac (who I expect will leave next year) has the speed and the moves, but can't block to save his life. Green is just below average in all facets of the game. We need some help at WR and RB. I saw McAffery of Stanford yesterday - what a weapon!!! Shaw is a great coach but if Michigan had someone as electric as him, I think we would win every game by quite a few points. That is one special kid.

Now as for OSU last night - really disappointed that they could not beat MSU. I have seen a lot of Urban's games and that was the worst called game in his career. Sparty's secondary is terrible - they have been lit up left and right by everyone this season and yet OSU refused to throw the ball despite superior athletes on the team. That was just poor play calling. Bad weather or not, JT had enough time from his O-line but they just insisted on running up the gut against MSU despite that being the MSU strength on defense. I can't stand Dantonio but I have a lot of respect for the guy - he works his magic. I still don't see him as the top coach in college - however, if next season - given all the departures he will have with Cook, Conklin, Allen, Burridge, Calhoun, etc - he can somehow win 10-11 games I will concede that he might be the best there is in college right now.

I think UM is going to have a rb next year. I think Smith may move to FB and UM will have a few new guys competing for the job and it looks like it won't be Isaac or Green.

Did you predict 10-2? Wow. I thought it was realistic to get 9 wins but would need to have a little luck/play well. I think I predicted 8-4 but thought either 7-5 or 9-3 was attainable depending on performance.

I know another UM fan thought 10-2 but thought that was way too optimistic. Why are you in the hunt for 10-2. Easy...Rudock has really come on because if it wasn't for him...UM has two more losses at least with that inept running game.

I want to win against OSU but don't fool yourself...OSU is going to bring it. They blew that game on Saturday...or maybe the wind blew it. :)

Worst coaching performance of the Urban Meyer era.

I had us topped out at eight wins, but I realistically thought seven - I would have been happy with that, depending on how we played. I also predicted we'd win against MSU or OSU or both - we'll see about that one (except the "both" part.)

I always wanted to compare this season with the Hoke honeymoon we had in his first year. At that time I was happy, but cautious. This time I'm not cautious at all - we are going to be on everyone's watch very very soon.

Well, there were differences that were noticable in the 2 seasons. With Hoke you always felt like we were getting away with playing poorly and getting really lucky - I don't remember a season like 2011 where every bounce went our way - every single one. This year, we were 2 close calls from losing 2 extra games but also 2 close calls from winning 2 extra games. This year was all around perseverance - in fact you could argue we have had zero luck on our side - zero player ejections for the amount of hits Rudock has taken, I think ranked 100th in turnovers, tons of penalties, WR making some sick catches against us, etc. Despite being rather unlucky we find ourselves with 9 wins. So I would agree with you - not cautious this time around. Only thing that concerns me is how long does JH stay?

I'll take Harbaugh for 5 years and be fine. Would I want more...of course? But 5 years will be enough time to get this program on solid footing.

The bigger question isn't how long Harbaugh stays but who eventually replaces him because he might want to go back to the NFL.

Here is the point I am making. UM had NO plan in place after Lloyd Carr and look what happened. It's more important in my mind to have a guy/guys in place who want to come at coach at UM. Durkin? He seems intense but is he a head coach.

Bottom line is UM can't get into another predictament where they hire a defensive line coach or systems coach. UM got it right this time but I am sure Hackett clearly understands there needs to be a logical process in place to try and get an established coach to come to UM when the time comes.

If you remember the RR hire and even the Hoke hire...UM was scrambling and we all know how those hires turned out. Maybe there is only so much you can do but UM AD and Harbaugh have to have enough lead time to get the right guy to replace Harbaugh.

Durkin will become a head coach after next season somewhere. He's one of the best coordinators in the country so I highly doubt he sticks around for another 5 years.

You guys have got you ship on the right track now with HARBAUGH. Will be pulling hard for you this weekend against OSU.. BAMA wanted them so bad this year and now it looks
like it will not happen.
Also, you guys are getting some good athletes here in Bama.. Tried to get your coaches interested in a DE I train from Birmingham, but no contact. He is going to South Carolina where I think
he could start next year so it all works out. good luck Sat.
