The Iowa loss sucks because everyone wants to go undefeated but in reality, the loss did not hurt Michigan. Even if we would have stayed undefeated then we would have had to beat Ohio State anyways to get in. This team is still very very much in the hunt for a national championship. Michigan will beat Indiana on Saturday but it will be a much closer game than most expect. As for the condition of Speight, I believe that the possibility of him having a broken clavicle is pretty good and I also tend to believe he will not be back. We are not doomed however. O'Korn has plenty of game experience and knows the offense. This is his time to shine and he can run with the football which will help Michigan because Indiana and OSU have not seen him play!!! Now they will have to prepare for his run game as well as everything else. It could benefit us greatly. Remaining 3rd in the playoff poll means we are back in business!!!!!!!! the needed boost the team needed to forge ahead!!!

I disagree that we HAD to have a W vs. the Buckeyes to get into the playoffs. Depending other factors, I believe a close loss to the O$U still would have given us a shot, especially with Washington & Clemson going down this past weekend, if we would have rolled into C-Bus unbeaten. Now, no wiggle room whatsoever.

Hope you're correct about O'Korn. Just the fact that he hasn't been the man in essentially 2 1/2 seasons doesn't make me feel all warm & fuzzy with him.

I'd be a lot more optimistic if O'Korn has started from game 1. He has to come in after a couple years on the bench. I think he'll be fine, but probably won't be able to do enough to beat OSU. I hope he's ready.
