Conner Cook is no longer an issue for Michigan as is the case of many of their seniors who have had an excellent run for the Spartans. BOTH OSU and MSU are losing some really good players. People seemed to forget that Michigan's current players are what was recruited from Brady Hoke. Some were good and some were not and most of them were never really developed until this year. Hoke's recruiting in skill areas and especially at ILB really hurt Michigan and we witnessed it this year. This is where MSU and OSU have been light years ahead of Michigan and a good reason for those losses this year. Michigan will be good next year and especially with O'Korn at the helm. He has had a full year to develop. They are in desperate need at RB and you bet Harbaugh will find one next year. I could care less about stars because Green was a 5 star who has done nothing at UM. Harbaugh's biggest impact yet will be this years recruiting class which stands at #3 in the country and may surge to 1 or 2 before it is over with. Gary is likely to commit to UM as is Kareem Walker. Both could get instant playing time. Harbaugh and his staff will develop those players. While MSU and OSU will continue their standard playing abilities, Michigan will no longer begin to lag so far behind. Next year, Michigan will be really good with what is returning mixed with some youth in areas. Regardless the losses to the rivals this year, Michigan is back and has made a impact in college football. If they win their bowl then it takes them to 10 wins in Harbaugh's 1st season. The blowout to OSU (while awful) in hindsight was good for UM because it shows how far they have been behind in recruiting and the defense was poorly coached (Durkin was focused on Maryland) he had to be and it showed. With a new DC, Harbaugh will settle in now and he knows what he needs. It has been a great year for Michigan.
