Great to get a win against anyone especially when if the truth is told no one picked us to win, now on to what I consider the state of not only Michigan football but college football as a whole no matter what conference and that’s that you must be able to put points on the board no matter who you are because there are no defenses that are going to limit a good team ability to score just look at OSU vs Ind it’s all about getting that stop and score to stay ahead and with that being said still Don Brown’s defense is horrible with no speed at the corners which places a gambling safety like Dax always in compromising position. Don Brown has had ample time to restock and develop lineman but has failed miserably at both choosing to project at the lineman position, which is to take linebackers or undersize DE’s putting weight on them and placing them on the line instead of recruiting actual lineman and furthering their development is where Nua and Brown have no clue, which makes the loss of Mattison even more hurtful in that Harbaugh knew who truly made Brown’s defense go but allowed him to leave without addressing the elephant in the room which was in my opinion Mattison being the true genius in the room defensively and if anyone doesn’t believe that look at the first few defenses that Harbaugh had and Hoke had before he left and you will see Mattison fingerprints, Michigan’s problem wasn’t about getting ran over but offensively where now after this game, 6 years later they have a QB from their recruiting efforts rather than a transfer who can run a productive offense. With that being said it’s out score a team and hope for a fortunate stop or lose cause in today’s college football if you can’t score you can’t win and it’s especially true of Michigan’s football now. Harbaugh must do what all Wolverine fans know he should do and that’s fire or allow Brown & Nua to walk and replace them with proven developers and procurers of talent defensively and Gattis should still be on probation if his offense doesn’t continue with what could be considered a good performance, to much talent and speed not to be scoring consistently.
