The field hockey team just had one of the most dramatic wins you will ever see. Playing #15 Maryland, Michigan jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half. Maryland fights back to tie it late in the 2nd half. The 2 teams play one scoreless 15 minute overtime and head to the second and final overtime. With about 5 seconds to play before settling for a draw, Michigan fires a ball into the circle from about 30 yards out. There's a mad scrum between the MD goalie and Meg Dowthwaite and the ball squirts loose. With 2 seconds to go Emma Way lays out full extension and hacks at the ball knocking it into the open net at 99:59 on the clock.
