'02 F Antonio Stranges and '02 D Jacob Truscott were both selected to next year's U17 team after last week's evaluation camp. By most accounts, Stranges was the top forward in attendance. If both Stranges and fellow '02 F commit Cole Perfetti of the Vaughn Kings matriculate, Michigan will be loaded with offensive firepower. Perfetti absent his commitment would be a certain top five pick in the upcoming OHL draft. It will be interesting to see where he is selected. It is hard to maintain premier Canadian commitments with no NTDP to attend. I worry this may be another Michael Vukojevic situation.
Michigan also received their second '03 commitment in F Tyler Haskins of the Chicago Mission. He joins F Dylan Duke. It will be interesting to see if D Luke Hughes and F Sasha Pastujov join their siblings or not. They are definitely two of the best '03 prospects.
