Prediction:
I've gone back and forth on this and am left with the conclusion that this game could have a 40 point swing where I wouldn't be surprised at all. Meaning Michigan could win by 20 or Wisconsin could win by 20 or anything in between and I would think "yeah, that makes sense".

On paper, this is going to be a low scoring, race to two touchdowns game. Michigan's biggest strength goes head to head with Wisconsin's. Wisconsin's biggest weaknesses seem to go head to head with Michigan's. Wisconsin isn't as bad as the Notre Dame score indicates, it was a game for the vast majority of it before the Badgers decided their tithe to the Catholic church was owed in the form of footballs, and handed over plenty when collection time came.

A lot of the stats and comparisons have been beat to death this week and I'll save the deep dive because frankly I got better things to do for the next 13 hours and because as I've noted above, I'm not sure they mean anything. Wisconsin is not a very good team. Michigan may or may not be a very good team but they have 14 quarters that showed they may be but you know what they say... You're only as good as your last 2 quarters of football. No one says that, do they?

With that, I think Michigan should win this game. There's a reason the fancy ESPN prediction gives Michigan a 69% (nice) chance to do so. We're probably better.

But some of us are a fragile little bunch of Wolverines with no-no memories. Recent history in Madison hasn't been kind and as much as I tend to disregard history, I do think this being a lot of the teams first real road game, especially Cade's is a big factor. Michigan needs to come out hot and maybe put up a touchdown early. That may be enough to stave off the Badgers for long enough to add one or two more and win the game. But will they? I'll believe it when I see it but please let me see it.

Wisconsin wins 24-20

This years predictions:

41-17 vs WMU (47-14 actual)
31-20 vs Washington (31-10 actual)
45-16 vs NIU (63-10 actual)
48-10 vs Rutgers (20-13 actual)
