Since 2015, here is how I would list the skill players, including QBs, whose talent was maximized vs. who wasn't offensively and played enough minutes to see what their potential was.
Maximized
Jake Butt
Khalid Hill
De'Veon Smith
Amara Darboh
Jehu Chesson
AJ Williams
Sione Houma
Jake Rudock
Karan Higdon
Wilton Speight
Henry Poggi
Sean McKeon
Zach Gentry
Ronnie Bell
Joe O'Korn
Hassan Haskins (looks on his way if they play him)
Cornelius Johnson (on his way)
NOT
Jabrill Peppers
Grant Perry
Ty Isaac
Chris Evans
Tyrone Wheatley Jr.
Donovan Peoples-Jones
Nico Collins
Tarik Black
Nick Eubanks
Shea Patterson
Joe Milton
Dylan McCaffrey
Zach Charbonnet
Mike Sainristil
Erick All
Giles Jackson
Brandon Peters
I promise I didn't do this on purpose but it comes out to 17 vs. 17. Is that normal? Is that good enough? Is it on the players? Is it on the coaches?
Curious thoughts about these two lists.
My biggest frustrations are Peppers (making him a de facto wildcat QB), Evans (never realizing the threat he was as a receiver out of the backfield), DPJ and Nico (especially Nico for not throwing this guy the ball 10 times per game), Patterson (he was worse in 2019 than 2018) and, if he transfers, Giles Jackson.
I'll give the coaches credit for getting the most out of players like Khalid Hill, Gentry, Higdon, Bell, Darboh, even Speight (though he wasn't as good in 2017 as he was in 2016).
