This keeps getting repeated and it is just wrong! Stafford, in fact, is the 3rd best Lion to come out of his Dallas H.S. #2 was the great Doak Walker and #1 was Robert Lawrence Layne, Bobby won championships in '52 and '53 and would have 3peteated in '54 if he hadn't "slept too much" before the game against the browns. He led the Lions in '57 until he broke his leg at the end of the season==they won the championship that year. He will always be remembered for telling a cop "I aint drunk, I talk this way cuz I'm from Texas" Barry was great but Bobby was the best Lion player I ever saw.
