"If" its Orji starting, we've seen glimpses of the run game...Here's a quick 1 min 23 sec video of 4 plays showing Orji runs in games at UM games...in 3 of 4 plays, you see various players moving in many different directions pre & post snap (like a symphony), defenders confused, and UM getting a #s advantage (ie 5 on 3)....

-1st Play: The RG & RT pulled to the left...the Hback/TE on left side blocks left..the C, LG, & LT, block right, the RB lines up on the left of Orji and meets Orji at the mesh-point and is heading right for a sweep...The defense starts in a 5-man front with 8 in the box....The DT and DE on right of the offense both momentarily chase the RB going to the right...Orji reads these 2 defenders going right, and takes it right up the gut for the TD...

-2nd Play: UM has 3 WRs to left and right before the snap sends the RB in motion to the left...the ILB sees the RB in motion & leaves the middle of the field and sprints full speed to the left to play the RB in case of a swing pass (or RPO)...the play starts with 7 on 7 in middle, but ends up with Orji and 5 OLinemen (6) going against 4 DLineman and because the right DE over runs the play, it is actually 3 defenders with a chance to stop 6 UM players....and we know what happens..

-3rd Play: This is just power...we hike it to Orji running to the right side & pulling the left guard to the right...Orji apparently smelling the goal line, runs over his own left guard and 2-3 defenders at same time to the house...watch our RB's piledriving block on a defender

-4th Play: WR Semaj is lined up on right which is short side and we send him in motion to the left...when the ball is hiked, the RB goes to the left as well...with WR and RB going left, 4-5 defenders flow to the left with Semaj and the RB....in the mean time, we pull our C & LG to the right and we get that #s advantage....Orji almost takes it to the house and defender uses sideline to just push him out

IMHO, the run game is going to be difficult to handle with all the moving parts, defensive confusion, and getting those #s advantages....This is not just lining up and running up the gut!!! Add in a 250lb QB and with Dono gaining weight too and being a HR-hitter, and the read option/RPO game is going to SMASH!!

What do you say or think my Den brethern?? Any comments for or against??
