I would change the scheduling and take it out of the AD's hands.
I would setup a rotating schedule, where one year its Big ten/Sec. Ie..The top Big plays the top Sec, and the top Big plays the bottom Sec. Rotate it for two years, and then the Big plays the PaC 12.... Whatever it is...Force teams to play big games on the road. It would be complicated, but all would profit immensely, especially the Networks, and most importantly the fans.
