is talent, that simple. OSU has six Pepper-like players, loaded LBs, an outstanding RB, and have three outstanding QBs. UM simply cannot match that sort of depth, not yet.

If UM had not played the way they did much of the year, I would not have been disappointed with a 4 pt. halftime deficit. What is very disappointing is how thin their DL depth is and how poorly their LBs played. Man they were out of it in space.

Harbaugh will get it fixed. We'll get a couple 5 star recruits to finish off this class. We might have another year or two to go before were running on all cylanders.

I'm very confident we are headed in the right direction, 9-3 is a great start, this game was a serious disappointment, but only because of that great start.

I would have taken 9 wins in a heartbeat preseason and we still have a bowl opportunity. Have a feeling it might be Florida in the Capitol one. We win that game, it sets us up for big 2016 run.

Thin DL and lack of any good LBs. This year we won 9 games based on individual effort versus pure team effort. Players like Lewis, Peppers, Glasgow, Rudock, Chesson, & Butt carried the team. Everyone else was below average. Our D-line is terrible against non-Pro style offenses. We are not built to stop those type of teams - Utah, Indiana, Ohio State, etc. Also, our LBs are the worst tacklers ever. Ohio State was just stronger - not sure how many times we had Elliot or JT wrapped and they dragged us for 3-4 more yards. On the other side, when you touch Smith, he falls. Everyone talks about how good a RB he is - he is a GREAT blocker but a terrible runner. Terrible vision and when he is hit he tries to use his upper body to break tackles versus keeping his feet moving. We looked really terrible on defense.
Having said all of that, I expected a 10-2 season so a tad bit disappointed. However, we are trending in the right direction. We lost to a very good OSU team that played their best game of the year. Rudock was firing on all cylinders and I was really pleased with how he progressed. I really wish he had another year to play because we would have been very very good! Imagine if Rudock played the way he did all season - we would have not lost to MSU or Utah! We lost to a Utah team when we were playing our worst. We lost to MSU by a fluke play. Proud of this team. I think next year will be much like this year - a few great players carrying us - Chesson, Darboh, Butt (hopefully), Glasgow, Lewis, Peppers. One thing I want to see though is this team stepping up - other players need to really step up and bring the intensity.
We at least will get 15 more practices, which will always help and really help our entire team so that is great. I also fully expect that a bunch of players on this team will be asked to not return by Harbaugh and I think that is a good thing...some of these guys need to leave. Few I can think of are players like Taco, Kalis, Green, Ty Isaac, Drake Harris...we will be good next year and great likely the year after that.

Amen.... our LBs are terrible. However Durkin made zero adjustments..
That was the biggest disappointment for me. In the first half we were continually shooting ourselves in the foot, the worst being the roughing the punter penalty. Felt confident the coaching staff would make the adjustments at half time to give us the chance to win. Obviously, that didn't happen.

We didn't make adjustments vs Indiana either. I know some of it is personnel (LBs bad, injuries to Glasgow, Ojemudia, etc) but we play press coverage. I have no idea why we didn't make OSU hit deep balls instead of giving OSU 7ypc.
