This weekend proved a fruitful recruiting effort for Michigan Softball. Highly regarded ‘21 pitcher Emerson Aiken, from Virginia, committed to head Coach Carol Hutchins on a weekend visit to Ann Arbor.

As a sophomore last season, Aiken was one of three pitchers named to the Virginia Division 5 All-State team.

Aiken will be in the class that replaces current Wolverine junior pitchers Meghan Beaubien and Sarah Schaefer. Already committed to the ‘21 class are middle infielder Ella McVey and pitcher/first baseman Lauren Derkowski.
