Looking at yards per carry excluding sacks and garbage time, we're doing well. We had three backs average over 5 yards per carry last week against a 9 man box. Had 200 yards against Florida. I don't doubt that a close review of film reveals a lot we could be doing better, but we're not sucking outright like at times the last two years, and at times before that. Seems to me like the passing game is where we aren't getting the expected results or expected mix of plays. I'm guessing some of that is intentional (on the play calling) and that if we pass better the running game will improve even more. I'm not feeling a sense of doom and gloom commensurate with what I'm reading.
