Mekhi Becton was down to Michigan, Louisville and Virginia Tech before choosing Louisville. I know for a fact that Tim Drevno really loved this kid despite his not being rated that highly by the recruiting services. Looks like he was right. Becton is generating the most buzz of the Louisville freshmen and is expected to start. Hurts all the more that we did not land him but also further attests to the evaluation skills of our coaching staff and the need for fans to appreciate the fact that simply because several recruiting services don't rate a kid as a four or five star does not mean that the Michigan staff necessarily agrees.
